IGNOU MCA STUDENTS' FORUM - in short IMSF, is the largest online community created and maintained by IGNOU MCA Students.

This is a FREE and non-commercial forum, making available an unbelievable collection of resources to its members which even commercial websites cannot match.This is truely a single portal through which students can access all the resources relating to their studies, including the IGNOU website, without ever moving away from the forum.

The objective of IMSF is to counter the rampant commercialisation that has developed around the IGNOU MCA course. So, although it sounds too good to be true, this forum is absolutely FREE...no strings attached. Nobody sells anything here or makes any money from here. Also, this is not one of those forums where trading and exchanging assignments is the sole purpose. So we do not welcome members whose sole objective is downloading assignments. We look for members who are serious in their studies, willing to help others and share knowledge and resources, want to discuss and solve study related problems with others. We doN't want members here who posts $h*ts like "PLEASE SEND ME ASSIGNMENTS".

The forum ( http://www.santanu.in ) has a huge repository of IGNOU MCA related materials - all uploaded by members, including a large collection of powerpoint presentations developed by faculties of various study centres, e-books of IGNOU reference books, tutorials, video tutorials, discussions on the lab manuals, discussions on assignments, downloadable old question papers, discussions on solutions of old papers, links to websites which relates to IGNOU MCA courses, compilers, assemblers and softwares used in MCA studies at various study centres etc.

Other features include a shoutbox, framed access to the IGNOU website (so that members can view the IGNOU website whenever they visit this forum), an RSS journal to keep abreast with developments in the IT Sector and Open Source Community, live chat (the rooms open everyday
for 3 hrs. from 8:30 to 10:30 PM) for discussion among members, email and PM facility between members, a calendar showing exam and other important dates, job discussions and referrals and a tech zone to keep members updated with the latest in information technology. We have facilities to bookmark individual pages to social bookmarking sites like digg and have added a whiteboard where members can collaborate, voice chat and share documents in real-time with each other. The CNET audio podcast on tech matters is also avilable through this forum. This is also the only forum/website through which the Gyandarshan Channel showing IGNOU teleconferences and IT related programs are webcast througout the day. Streaming Lecture Videos on various MCA subjects from IGNOU, IIT, IISc., MIT and many universities are also available for viewing and downloading.

The forum already has over8000 members and growing and we have so far made over 16000 posts on various topics including codes. This is probably the most comprehensive source of information, resource and collaborative learning, for the ever popular IGNOU MCA course.

Faculties from the computer science and applications field and those connected with IGNOU MCA course are also invited to participate.
